The newer SEL (solid end link ) bracelets are failing at an alarming rate ! The end pieces are attatched to the bracelet by a small spring bar that wears very quickly causing the end piece to become loose and in extreme cases fall off . Fortunately we can replace these pins with far more robust versions which will last far far longer . Why Rolex designed them this way is anyone’s guess but as they say - if it’s a problem there must be a solution if it isn’t a problem there’s no solution ! See our next post for the solution !
After the work the SEL end pieces are nice and tight for many years to come . We also tightened the whole bracelet and replaced the Fliplock pin ! Viola !
